Peanut Butter Cookies | Baking with Riley

If you happen to be fortunate enough these days that you can eat Peanut Butter then these cookies are for you! My own (now not so secret) recipe is here for you Crunchy Peanut Butter lovers to sink your teeth into. I can assure you it’s easy and super quick, so be sure to give it ago! I really enjoy my cookies golden brown with a crispy outside, be careful not to burn them because the peanut butter I think makes them cook faster.

~ Crunchy Peanut Butter Cookies ~

Bakes 6 Large Cookies

Ingredients

1 Cup of Crunchy Peanut Butter

1 Egg - Lightly Whisked
Half a Cup of Plain Flour

Half a Teaspoon of Baking Powder

Half a Cup of Brown Sugar

Method

1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees

2. Mix all dry ingredients together - including Brown Sugar

3. Mix Peanut Butter and egg throughly with dry ingredients. The mixture will probably feel sticky and dry, if so add a dash of milk.

4. Separate the mixture into 6 balls on a baking try - spaced apart evenly

5. Bake in oven for 15 minutes then let cool for 20 minutes - this will allow the biscuits to set.

Eat Warm & Enjoy!

The Truth About Blogging | Thoughts

Many people I talk to believe that the blogging world is for us people who sit around eating macaroons all day, whilst taking pictures on our pastel coloured Polaroid cameras of what were eating. We apparently live in a world where perfect winged eyeliner is the norm and inspiration for our content appears magically before us. Were all surrounded by glitter and freshly cut flowers that casually appear in the background of our photos. Really all we do is sit at home and drink tea whilst trying on all the mountains of designer clothes we’ve just purchased. Sounds pretty damn relaxing!

I see blogging as a hobby, something I really enjoy doing in my spare time and I have begun to found it increasingly frustrating at the number of people who have rolled there eyes and said it is a waste of time. I blog because I enjoy telling others about my every day life and things that take my interest, blogging to me is the equivalent of others playing sport or reading books.

Each post takes T – I – M – E. My TIME. Very valuable TIME I could be putting to possibly towards more academic work through out the week. It annoys me that some of my friends don’t understand how much I value my little space on the Internet and the small number of people who continuously read it (Thank You!). Everyone has to start somewhere and I believe that if I can make someone’s day then the number of “followers” (I’d rather say Readers) I have doesn’t make or break that fact that I will continue to upload content I’m proud of.

Blogging is filled with perfect winged eyeliner, delicious macaroons, red velvet cupcakes, freshly cut flowers and unbelievable amounts of glitter! – but under the layers teacups and perfectly dip dyed hair, there is a hell of a lot of effort being put in.

The Contents of my Handbag | Essentials For a Blog Obsessed Teenager On The Go

Hey There Beautiful Reader! 

I have to admit that my handbag is my home away from home I keep everything I need in it when I’m on the go. I literally poured my bag out onto my kitchen table and this is what I had in it. My bag was bought at Collette Hayman sometime last year so I doubt you’ll be able to find it but if you do like it I would suggest checking out there website cause they sometimes have similar bags with ‘cut out’ designs.

I thought what a better place to start than with my beauty items because they do tend to take up most of the room. One of my favourite lip products is the Maybelline Baby Lips – Rose Addict. I much prefer the colour tinted Baby Lips rather than the original simply because I’d rather use a Chapstick to hydrate my lips it happens to work better for me. I’ve mentioned the Burt’s Bee’s Lip Shimmer –Caramel before in a post (Link HERE) so I won’t go into to much detail but it just provides and amazing shimmer burnt caramel colour to your lips that is so unlike any I’ve seen before - really would recommend it! My ProactivAdvanced Blemished Cream & Concealer Plus – Light I received both as gifts when I bought the three steps system. Whenever I get a pimple I can whack on some blemish cream and then concealer and I’m good, simple – fixed – goodnight. Pretty much they’re just an essential. My obsession with perfect eyebrows knows no bounds, so I always keep my elf Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara on hand at all times. I love to set my brows with this but I don’t use it on my eyelashes just because I really love my long black lashes instead. I’ve mentioned the Wonderstruck Enchanted Perfume & The Body Shop Strawberry BodyButter in a post before (Links HERE & HERE) so I won’t ramble on about them, what I will say is that I only have one third of the perfume left so I’ll have to pick up so more! Dettol Hand Sanitizer the world outside my room is dirty and filled with icky things hence the need for this, I buy a big one and top up my little handbag size one when it starts to run out.

Moving on now to more random items but no less essential. I'll start off with my two favourite types of teas the Higher Living Cinnamon Herbal Infusion & the Twinings Herbal Infusion Pure Pepperment, I always love to take my own t-bags places because some of my closest friends only drink coffee therefore not having a wide tea selection in there homes, if I'm at a cafe often I'll settle for a cup of Twinings English Breakfast. 
Where for out thou bobby pins? Will someone please tell me where the bobby pin goblins live so I can go and claim back what is rightfully mine, I'll buy a pack of 200 and *POOF* vanished into thin air. On to my sun glasses which are of course an essential because I need to protect my eyes and the Sunshine Coast isn't called the Sunshine Coast for nothing. Headphones are packed so I can watch Youtube videos and listen to my music on the way to places while suffering the bloggersphere. I have some loose change incase of an emergency or I need a packet of gum (which you could rank under the emergency department). Points cards! Cause I gotta get them points (which I'll probs never use :( ) - Price Line Sister Club & Guzman and Gomez Cards - Mmmmm mexican. A pen, cause  sometimes you just need one.

Completely Random But Important Note: At the end of this week I start my  2 weeks of school holidays and I'm thinking about daily Vlogging cause I'm going to Sydney and I'll be doing lots of fun things with my friends.
